Seed type: Hybrid — not an heirloom or open-pollinated variety.
A dramatic foliage favorite for the Goth Garden, Rainbow Mix Coleus produces an unpredictable assortment of richly patterned leaves in deep burgundy, crimson, near-black purple, scarlet, cream, green, and rose. Each plant develops its own combination of contrasting centers, margins, veining, and splashes, making every planting slightly different.
The lush, velvety foliage brings bold color to shady garden beds, borders, containers, and mixed plantings without relying on flowers for impact. Plants develop into full, branching mounds and can be pinched regularly to encourage an even bushier shape.
Rainbow Mix is especially striking when planted in groups, where the contrasting foliage creates a tapestry of dark jewel tones, perfect for gothic gardens, Victorian-inspired plantings, and dramatic container arrangements.
Please note: seed packet and tin design, print, and color may vary from the images shown. Seed quality and variety are unaffected.
